For the most consistent results, we recommend measuring by weight (grams).
Because this pigment is Eye Safe and Lip Safe, it is ideal for color cosmetics.
Loose Powder: Blend with a base (like Sericite Mica) for better adhesion.
Pressed Pigment: Mix with a cosmetic binder until the texture resembles wet sand before pressing.
Melt & Pour: Mix 3g of mica with 14g of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Add 1.5g of the dispersed liquid at a time to your melted soap base until you reach the desired shade.
Cold Process: Mix 3g of mica with 14g of a lightweight carrier oil. Add 3g of this mixture at a time to your soap batter.
Usage: Start with 0.75g of mica per 450g of dry mixture (bath bomb base or scrub).
Pro Tip: To prevent a “ring around the tub,” use Polysorbate 80 to help the mica disperse evenly in the water.
